While sorting through a large box of past SILC newsletters today, I came across this interesting page about how the original SILC logo was designed. It was created in 1993 by an Australian lady, Annette Hoare and the article explains the thinking behind the design. Eight ladies descended on Master Toddy's Boxing Academy this morning for a rather different start to the week. But no one regretted the decision after the class. After a very slow and wet start to the day, a bunch of eager SILC ladies met at Chatuchak Flower Market for our latest grand day out. For many years now SILC Welfare ladies Kay and Marianne have visited the Klong Toey Slums every two weeks to distribute oil, rice, tinned fish and a few other basics to those really in need.
