​On behalf of the Taskforce and our members, we warmly welcome you to SILC.
 

For over 30 years, SILC has been bringing women together through friendship, shared interests and community involvement. What began as small gatherings among founding members has grown into one of Bangkok’s longest-standing international women’s groups, with over 90 members from a wide range of nationalities and backgrounds.

Our mission remains simple: to foster friendships, build a strong local network, deepen our understanding of Thailand and create opportunities to connect through social, educational and leisure activities.
 

We bring together women who have just arrived in Bangkok with those who have lived here for years, creating a supportive and welcoming community. Whether you are looking for new friendships, practical advice or simply a reason to get out and explore, SILC offers a space to feel connected and at home.
 

We operate primarily as a social club, with activities based in both Samutprakarn and the city. Members are free to dip in and out of coffee mornings, interest groups, outings and community projects as much or as little as they wish.

Our website, Facebook pages and Members WhatsApp groups are the best places to stay updated on activities and fundraising efforts that support our community projects.
 

We encourage both new and returning members to get involved — attend events, volunteer or help organise activities. Getting involved is the easiest way to build lasting friendships and truly feel at home in Bangkok.
