On behalf of the Committee and Members, a warm welcome to SILC…..

 

SILC has celebrated almost 30 years of friendship, activities and helping the wider community. I wonder if the founding members had any idea of the impact that their first few get-togethers 28 years ago would make? The fundamental reasons for the Club’s existence remain the same:  to make friends, to establish a strong network in the area, learn about Thailand, and share similar interests.

 

In 2020, you will find that SILC is a thriving International Ladies Club. We aim to bring together ladies of different nationalities, backgrounds and interests by providing opportunities for women in our international community to meet and engage in social, educational and leisure activities.

 

Our website is aimed to give you the latest information on activities we are running plus our fundraising campaigns which support our community projects.

 

I urge all our Members, new and returning to be a participating member, come to our activities, offer to volunteer or help with arranging events – you’ll get much more out of SILC if you do.  Getting involved is the best way to make friends and feel connected to your home here in Bangkok.

 

To quote W.B.Yeats “There are no strangers, only friends you have not met yet”
